Sharon Shaw is an oil painter, she creates landscapes, mostly of beautiful Bucks County and portraits. She also creates Religious Icons using Egg Tempera done in the Historical Russian, and Byzantine style. Sharon has studied art at various art schools including The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Barnstone Studios and has taken a number of art workshops with well known artists. She is a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club. She is currently serving as President of the New Hope Art League and is a member of a number of local Art Clubs. the Rockport Art Association, and is also a member of the Artists Fellowship, NYC.
Sharon has taught art classes in Bucks County and has painted En Plein Air in Bucks County, Burlington County, along the Delaware River, and the Philadelphia Area. She is currently focusing on Studio works of Bucks County as well as figure works.
Sharon has commission portraits, posthumous portraits and landscapes in private collections. Gallery representation is through the Farnsworth Gallery in Bordentown, New Jersey and Chapman Gallery in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Sharon and her husband live in scenic Bucks County Pennsylvania where she draws inspiration.
