Biography

 

Sharon Shaw is a painter, she creates landscapes of beautiful Bucks County and of her travels to Spain, the Pacific and Monhegan Island Maine .  She
also creates portraits and  Religious Icons using Egg Tempera done in the Historical Russian, Byzantine style and Renaissance style.  Sharon has studied art at various art schools including The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts,  and Barnstone Studios and has taken a number of art workshops with well known artists.   She is a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club.  She is currently serving as on the Executive Board of the New Hope Art League after serving as
President, and is a member of a number of local Art Clubs. the Rockport Art Association, and is also a member of the Artists Fellowship, NYC. 

 Sharon has taught art classes in Bucks County and has painted En Plein Air in Bucks County, Burlington County, along the Delaware River, Philadelphia Area and Monhegan Island Maine.    She is currently splitting her time between Egg Tempera works and  Studio oil paintings. 

Sharon has commission Religious Icons,  oil portraits, posthumous portraits and landscapes in private collections.  Gallery representation is through the Farnsworth Gallery in Bordentown, New Jersey and Chapman Gallery in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.  Sharon also exhibits at Art Shows to include an Exhibit Michener Museum in Doylestown, Pa in 2010 featuring Philadelphia Sketch Club Artists and a solo show at the Phila Sketch Club in Nov 2011.

Sharon and her husband live in scenic Bucks County Pennsylvania where she draws inspiration.
